| Bio: | I completed my Masters degree in Library Science from Indiana University in May 2007 and two years before that I finished my Bachelors degree, graduating with an English major with a minor in Art History at a small private college. I was just hired as a Reader's Advisory Librarian at the Nebraska Library Commission. My hobbies are watching and reviewing films, watching anime, reading novels, reading manga scans, reading and writing fanfiction.  My favorite fanfiction genres are Harry Potter, Firefly/Serenity, X-Men (Movie-verse), BtVS/Angel, L.J. Smith, The Chronicles of Narnia, Smallville and InuYasha, but I've been known to branch out periodically. My OTPs are (probably) Hermione/Severus, Chloe/Lex, Willow/Angel(us) and (definitely) River/Jayne, Kagome/Sesshoumaru, and Rogue/Pyro. (In point of fact the only characters I entirely dislike are people like Dolores Umbridge and the late Mrs. Black, they were the worst type of bigots). My Firefly/Serenity Universe or Firefly/BtVS ships: river/jayne, mal/simon, river/mal, simon/inara, jayne/inara, mal/kaylee, mal/inara, jayne/kaylee (under duress), wash/zoe (fic must be set pre-Firefly-verse), [and assorted crossover pairings like: mal/willow, mal/willow/inara, mal/faith--read sevangel fiction if you want to know why]. Along with Rayne author extraordinaire, sevangel, read aliaspiral's work. My fav Firefly characters: River, Mal, Simon, Inara, and Jayne. I also like: Wash, Zoe, and Kaylee (when she isn't being judgmental). My InuYasha Universe or InuYasha/Yu Yu Hakusho ships: kagome/sesshoumaru, kagome/kouga, inuyasha/kagome (under duress), kagome/yuusuke, kagome/hiei, kagome/kurama. For most of these pairings I suggest reading stories by KogasAngel and for Hiei/Kagome I also recommend Ryukotsusei. My fav InuYasha characters: Kagome, Shippo, Miroku, Sesshoumaru and Kouga. I also like: Sango, Mrs. Higurashi, and Souta. My fav YuYu Hakusho characters: Hiei, Kurama, and Yuusuke. My X-Men Movie-verse ships: rogue/pyro, rogue/scott, rogue/logan, rogue/piotr, kitty/piotr, kitty/bobby, jubilee/bobby, logan/ororo, scott/ororo, kurt/ororo, bobby/rogue (under duress). [Other than Ryro, Scogue, and Rogan (and hell, Rogue/Anyone), I prefer the other pairings as background or side-pairings--i.e. secondary characters/relationships.] For Ryro read deep_salt_water, particularly 'Armanthine'. My favorite Rogan author is jjblazer, whose works you can find at the WRFA. I especially love 'It's Raining Men'.My fav X-Men Movie-verse characters: Rogue, Pyro, Scott. I also like: Ororo (when she's not complaining about Rogue's taking the Cure), Piotr (when he's not laughing at Rogue for not being able to not kill her boyfriend with a kiss, and when he is saving her butt in the Danger Room), Kitty (when she isn't scamming on other girl's guys), Warren (not that he gets much play), and Logan (when he's not being an ass). My X-Men Evolution-verse ships: rogue/scott, rogue/remy, rogue/lance, rogue/pietro, kitty/lance, kurt/amanda, wanda/todd. My fav X-Men Evolution-verse characters: Rogue, Kurt, Wanda, and Lance. I also like: Kitty, Scott, Tabitha, X23, and Logan. My BtVS/Angel ships: willow/spike, willow/angel(us), willow/graham, willow/lindsey, willow/xander, willow/cordelia, willow/faith, willow/spike/angel(us), willow/spike/faith, willow/spike/xander, willow/angel(us)/xander, willow/angel(us)/cordelia/spike, dawn/spike, dawn/xander, xander/cordelia, xander/spike, xander/angel(us), xander/buffy, buffy/spike. Plus all sorts of crossover pairings. inell is especially good with these characters (you can find her work here), just to name one lj author (of many worth reading). If you really want to know why my fav pairings are Willow/Angel(us) and Buffy/Spike you should definitely read the 'Abracadabra Series' by Saber Shadow Kitten, and be sure to read the rest of Saber's stories while you're on the website--they're all bril! Also read miscellaneous pairing stories by dragonydreams at When Dragons Dream, emeraldswan at Emerald Illusions, faythbrady at Fayth's Fanfiction, velvetwhip at The Velvet Vampire, purplefeen2 at 'Feen's Archive, emnorth at What a Lovely Way to Burn, and for Graham/Willow read Karen Upchurch's work.My fav BtVS/Angel characters: Willow, Spike, Cordelia, Drusilla, Dawn, Faith, Xander, and Lindsey. My Chronicles of Narnia ships: eustace/jill, lucy/edmund, susan/peter, peter/OFC, lucy/caspian. rosa_cotton writes particularly in character Eustace/Jill. My fav Chronicles of Narnia characters: Edmund, Eustace, Jill, Lucy, Peter, Susan, and Professor Kirke. My Labyrinth ship: jareth/sarah. My fav Labyrinth characters: Sarah, Ludo, Sir Didymus. I also like: Jareth, Hoggle, Ambrosius, Merlin and Toby. My Kyou Kara Maoh! ship: yuuri/wolfram. My fav Kyou Kara Maoh! characters: Wolfram, Yuuri, and Conrad. My Smallville ships: chloe/lex, chloe/clark, chloe/kal, chloe/oliver, chloe/lucas, chloe/bruce. For Chloliver read works by sarcastic_fina. For Chlex, Chlucas and Chruce definitely choose works by scifichick774 at her fanfiction archive and her lj archive! My favorite Chlucas story is 'Anyone's Game'. For Chlark and Kaloe go for ellyfanfiction at Elly's Fanfiction Blogspot.My fav Smallville characters: Chloe, Kal El and Lex. I also like: Lucas Dunleavy-Luthor, Oliver Queen and Bruce Wayne (the latter of which has made fanon appearances only). My Heroes ship: peter/claire. dragonydreams writes this ship very well.My fav Heroes characters: Claire, Peter and Nikki/Jessica. (I haven't watched the show, so I'm kind of speculating based on fanworks...) My Ranma 1/2 ships: ranma/akane, ukuyo/ryoga. My fav Ranma 1/2 characters: akane, ranma, nabiki. I also like: ryoga and ukuyo. My Roswell ships: maria/michael, tess/kyle, alex/isabel, max/liz. You should all check out the work in progress, 'Inquiring Minds' by kj4ever, which is a fantastic Roswell rewrite with Michael/Maria, Max/Liz and Isabel/Alex overtones. My fav Roswell characters: Maria, Liz, Michael and Kyle. I also like: Isabel, Max, Tess, Alex and Sherif Valenti. My Veronica Mars ship: veronica/logan. I suggest reading 'Losing to Win' by gertinator. My fav Veronica Mars characters: Veronica and Logan. I also like: Wallace, Lilly, Keith and Weevil. My High School Musical ship: troy/sharpay. (If you want truly great Troypay, read sarcastic_fina's works. She's spectacular! I read her tearjearker 'I Can Love You Like That' and spent the next two hours happily bawling.
